Cat photography at their home and yard

Two cats, Sonny and Mica are used to a nice quiet household so photographing them was a challenge. They really didn’t want to be close to the camera and trying to pose them was nearly impossible. But that is the beauty of onsite photography. Instead of the unfamiliar studio setting, Sonny and Mica were allowed to roam around in the environment they are used to. I used my short lens within their home and then used my long distance lens to shoot them in their yard. There were plenty of opportunities to capture their unique character for lasting portraits.
